Installing Snaggle
==================
1. Drag Snaggle to the Applications folder.
2. Open it. macOS will say Snaggle "is not opened because it is from an
unidentified developer" (or cannot be verified). This is expected: Snaggle is
free software and is not signed with a paid Apple Developer certificate.
3. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down to Security, and click
"Open Anyway" next to the message about Snaggle. Confirm with your password
or Touch ID.
(Control-clicking the app and choosing Open no longer works on macOS 15 and
later - Apple removed that shortcut.)
4. Snaggle needs Screen Recording permission to capture anything. The first
capture triggers the request; enable Snaggle under
System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording, then quit and
reopen the app.
Snaggle lives in the menu bar, not the Dock - look for the viewfinder icon.
Prefer the terminal? This removes the quarantine flag in one step:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Snaggle.app
Snaggle is free software under the GNU GPL v3. Source: <add your repository URL>
